Most of the raw material used by COOPERFRIGU comes from farms of its cooperative members. They are approximately 1500 producers, who receive ongoing assistance of technical experts from COOPERFRIGU.

Aiming to keep the high standard of quality of raw materials, which is one of the major concerns of COOPERFRIGU, the technical team continuously monitors the creation of animals.

pre-evaluation Slaughter

The animals are assessed and verified as to their nutritional status and health. COOPERFRIGU works with humanitarian slaughter system: the animals are subjected to a process of relaxation, minimizing the stress and avoiding unnecessary suffering.

Food Segurity

Even before release of the meat for consumption, all carcasses are inspected by veterinarians of the Federal Inspection Services (SIF) of the Ministry of Agriculture. Such as monitoring the stages of slaughter and production, in addition to the rigorous COOPERFRIGU ’s Quality Control in the procedures for slaughter, boning, packaging, shipping and transport freeze, results in maximum security of food for the final product.

Thus, COOPERFRIGU practices all procedures recommended in:

• BBF ( Good Manufacturing Practices )
• PPHO ( PROGRAM OF HYGIENE )
• APPCC ( ANALYSIS OF HAZARD and critical control points )

Production Technology

COOPERFRIGU ‘s slaughterhouse is one of the most modern in Brazil. It was designed so that the whole production process (slaughter, boning, processing, freezing and storage) happens in the same building, avoids products being transferred to other locations before the end. Recently added was a fifth expansion and modification with the introduction of new and modern equipment for boning or freezing.
